28 April 2004 Hello, it seems I have been tardy with my usual report on our
Sunday quiz performance. Well, I can report that the status quo
was maintained, "Don't eat yellow snow" scored 133, to come in second
place, although it was a slight improvement, one more point than last
week. Again
the winning team managed a score of 144. Bugger! Add Comment |
13 April 2004 I was out at the standing order last night, for a sociable
beverage. Malcolm & Lizzie were in town, so it was only right
that I went out. Anyway Sam created a new alcoholic
concoction: a shot of both Goldschlager & Malibu topped up
with orange juice. A thing indeed, perhaps? Add Comment |
11 April 2004 Well this week I am sorry to report that our quiz team "We love this
monkey", did not manage to fulfil our usual placing. Indeed we
managed to better ourselves, we won!! Which makes for a good
change, Nicola was there with me this week so maybe it was something to
do with that, others may disagree but I think it is possible.
Anyway we scored a total of 146 points the next placed team had 142, it
was close but a success just the same. To the victors the spoils,
a case of Budvar Budweiser, premium Czech lager and very nice it is
too. Well done us, may we endure in perpetuity! Add Comment |
07 April 2004 Today is my sister's 22nd birthday. Happy Birthday
Alison, I hope that you have fun in Kingston upon Hull this
evening. I am sure that you will, or something anyway.
Indeed well, in celebration of this event, I have uploaded a nice picture
of
Alison and my brother
Graham, taken on my sister's first birthday back in 1983, it can be
found by clicking here.
And just for parity and general harmony here is a picture
of me
taken at around the
same time. Add Comment |
04 April 2004 Well, I would like to report a succesful night, with a victory to
"Happy Birthday, Teri" (for indeed it was the quiz lady's birthday),
however I fear I cannot. Although our usual place of second was
attained, the score was not so good, 117, I cannot even
claim that we were only just beaten into second place. Indeed we
were well beaten by 9
points. Hmpf. Still I suppose that there is always
next week. Still at least by not knowing the answers to the music
round some more entertaining thoughts were placed on the sheet.
Have you ever heard of the "Castrated Ostrich Song, Part 2." Well
I thought it was a good sugggestion. Although, apparently,
it was not correct.
By the way, before I go, a mongoose pie is a thing indeed and so is a purple
house
banana, just in case you are not so sure find out by clicking here.
Its ok, I am odd. Add Comment |
